Amanah sebagai Pemimpim Mahasiswa

As much as we want to be critical to the government, on matters regarding 1MDB, TPPA or Bandar Malaysia Project, we shall not forget that as IIUM students we too shall be critical to our elected representatives. On actions they take, and words they've said.
Democracy applies here too, in the Garden of Knowledge and Virtue, and I assume despite having the freedom to vote for our elected representatives once a year, democracy is, as it seems, dead. Don't ask me why, you know what it is.
I rarely insert Quranic verses to support my views (because I'm of nobody and have no knowledge to do so) but since most student leaders in this university did it, I shall quote a verse from Surah An-Nisa verse 58;
"Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing."
It feels good to do so. I just Googled it. I don't know the verse in specific context or interpretation but since everyone is doing it to justify their judgements although flawed or fallacious, I want to be a part of that 'culture' too.
Let's pray to God, that we will judge everyone or every matter we see and deal in real life with justice, utilising the right knowledge we've learnt so far. This is for me in particular, as doing so takes courage and total in depth self-reflection, often the hardest amidst all.
May Allah cleanse our heart from injustice and breach of amanah.
